ANNOUNCEMENTS

Senior class meeting in the library TODAY at 3:00 to make some decisions about baccalaureate and graduation.


There will be a boys basketball meeting TODAY at 11:45 for Sophomores & Juniors and another at 12:30 for 8th graders & Freshman who are planning on playing basketball next year.  See Coach K if you have any questions or if you will not be able to attend.

Post Prom tickets will be for sale in the Multi-Purpose room TODAY during Junior/Senior lunchtime. Tickets are $2 each & everyone (including dates) needs one to attend Post Prom. 

ATTENTION SENIORS:  Kathy Pavel from the Holt County Clerk’s office will be in the Student Lounge TODAY from 11:15-12:15 for voter registration.  You are eligible to register if you will be 18 yrs old by Nov. 4th, 2014.  The form only takes a few minutes to fill out and must bring a photo ID.

If anyone is interested in running for Student Council president or vice president, please get an application from Mrs. Troester.  The applications are due by Friday, May 2nd with speeches on Friday, May 9 at 8:00 A.M.   If you are interested in running for Secretary or Treasurer of Student Council, come tell Mrs. Troester and you will be put on the ballot. You don’t have to give a speech. Please let her know by Friday, May 2nd.
 The executive officers of the Student Council shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
 QUALIFICATIONS OF OFFICERS:
 1.    A student eligible for an executive office on the Student Council must maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point average andhave no permanent failures from the previous semester.
 2.    The President must be a Senior and of good moral character.
3.    The Vice-President must be a Senior OR Junior and of good moral character.
4.    The Secretary and Treasurer may be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and of good moral character.
5.    Cannot be an executive officer in other organizations.
Any student in grades 7-11 that are interested in running for Student Council Class Representative, please sign up in Mrs. Troester’s room know. You will vote for class representatives when you vote for President & Vice President at the end of the school year. Sign up with Mrs. Troester by Friday, May 2. If you are a class representative, you cannot be an executive officer in other organizations.


Any girls that are currently in grades 8 through 12 and either played last season or are seriously considering the possibility of playing next season, you are invited to attend a Husker softball game on Sunday, May 4th.  If interested and need details or if you know that you want to and are able to go, let  Coach Price or Coach G.  know as soon as possible so we can plan transportation.  Your only cost will be for food and any Husker souvenirs that you might want to purchase.

Anyone interested in putting together a "Zumba Class" sometime this summer should contact Rhonda Olson, Developing Eagles Director at the Elementary School, as she would like to have the Summer Eagles kids learn Zumba.  Also, if there are any students needing community services hours for scholarships etc to contact Rhonda if they would like to help with Developing Eagles.

The following seniors need to bring their baby/senior picture if they want to be in the senior video by April 24th:  Sara Cullen, Gerardo Jimenez, Timothy Lechtenberg, Francelia Luzania, Blake Rogers, Kristiana Tompkins, Riley Warrack, Maranda Winter, Karissa Wright.

Prom is THIS Saturday, April 26th, at the O'Neill Community Center.  The banquet begins promptly at 6:30, followed by Jr. Class and Senior Class photos, the Grand March, Coronation, and the Dance.  The public is welcome to attend the Grand March (following the Sr. Class picture approximately 8:15ish).

All Juniors attending Prom this year, we will be decorating the Community Center on Friday beginning at 8:00AM.  If you are coming to prom, you are EXPECTED to be there to help.  Many hands make light work, and this is YOUR prom.  

Prom picture packets are available from Mrs. Gotschall and in the office.  You MUST pick up an envelope, and have your envelope and order money ready to hand to the photographer on Saturday when you show up to get your pictures taken.  You MUST call Studio B to schedule your picture time. 


Student athletes, coaches, parents and fans are reminded that you need to get signed up or purchase tickets for the 2014 athletic banquet.  Everyone is invited to attend as we would like to have a big crowd on hand.  Student athletes in grades 9-12 and coaches need to sign up and the booster club will pay for their admission.  Everyone else may buy tickets at the high school for $15.  Eric Crouch will be our guest speaker and he will be available for pictures from 5-6 pm.  Plan to spend the evening and enjoy!
