Musical Cast:  Musical shirts are in, the cost is $10.00.  You can pick them up from Mrs. Ludwig.
Winter sport NSAA academic all state should plan to take a picture for the HCI on Monday at 3:30 pm.  
All “O” club members should stop by Mr. Hostert’s office this week to vote on our trip.
All FFA members need to see Ms. Knabe by Friday, April 1st to vote for officers.
Bright Horizons is interested in putting on a self-defense presentation for senior girls.  Details have not been worked out nor has an interest been determined.  This would be a 7 hour presentation probably on two different days, either during school or other time or a combination of both.  Mr. Brosz needs to find those who are interested, and plan from there.  Please get signed up in the office if interested by Friday Thanks!

DEADLINE REMINDER:  Juniors and Seniors, the deadline to sign up for the prom banquet is TOMORROW (Tuesday, March 29th) at 4:00PM.  If you are not signed up by that time, you will not be able to attend the banquet.  Tomorrow is also the deadline to sign up for and pay for a t-shirt.  Banquet is $10 for out of school and underclassman dates.  T-Shirts are $12.  Please pay attention to the green posters in the Jr. Sr. hallway, as they provide this information.

Jrs. and Srs...TODAY IS THE DAY!  You may begin signing up for Prom 2011 "Syrian Secrets" in Room 212 with Mrs. Gotschall.  Sign-ups will be allowed before or after school, during 4th period, or during 8th period.  Please do not interrupt classes.  There is signage in the Jr./Sr. Hallway with important deadline information.  YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BEING AWARE OF THESE DEADLINES.  Reminders will be posted in the announcements periodically.  Banquet is $10 for out of school or underclassmen dates, and T-Shirts are $12.  All banquet attendees HAVE TO BE signed up and paid for by 4PM Tuesday March 29th.  No exceptions.  See Mrs. Gotschall, Mrs. Kelly, or Mrs. Wiseman if you have questions.

Congrats to the Central 8 Honor Band members. Great day – great concert yesterday!

Attention Chadron Scholastic Participants! Put your parental permission slips in Mrs. Troester's mailbox TODAY and turn in your predestines by next Monday.

On Wednesday, DTL is sponsoring WHITE OUT DAY! This is a reminder that 1200 people die every year from tobacco related causes. You will be judged in the morning and winners will be announced at the pep rally for the speech state qualifiers.

Tryouts for the 2011 Bison All Star basketball team will be on Wednesday March 23 at West Holt High School.  Gym will open by 6 pm with the tryout starting at 6:30.  This try out is for all boys in grades 8th or 9th grade interested in playing on an area all star team.  For more details see Coach Hostert or Coach Kallhoff and please let them know if you are interested in trying out. 

The Junior class will be taking orders for Prom glasses Monday – Wednesday during lunch. You must pay for your glass when your order. The cost is $8.00.

Attention JH & HS Students interested in quiz bowl team. There will be an organizational meeting on Friday, March 25th at 7:40 am in Room 115.

First order of track shirts are in.  T-Shirts are $13.00, Long Sleeve T-Shirts are $15.00, Sweatshirts are $20.00 and Hoodies are $25.00.  XXL is $1.50 more.  Please bring your money and pick up your shirts asap!

JH & HS Band members: The Deli International frozen food products will arrive this Friday, March 18th. You must pick up your orders after school in the OHS Multi-purpose room. Please deliver your items ASAP.

All winter cheerleaders: Please bring your uniforms to Mod 4 on Friday, March 18 during your lunch period. Lunch will be provided during both lunch periods.

There will be a meeting Monday, March 21st after school for all girls 8th – 11th grade who are interested in being a cheerleader for next year.

There will be a pep rally/send off for our state speech participants next Wednesday at 3:05 pm.   

The next meeting of the junior respect groups is next Wednesday, March 23rd.  The students will bring their lunches to their rooms that day. Camille Ohri will be meeting with her group on Tuesday rather than Wednesday next week. 

Tryouts for the 2011 Bison All Star basketball team will be on Wednesday March 23 at West Holt High School.  Gym will open by 6 pm with the tryout starting at 6:30.  This try out is for all boys in grades 8th or 9th grade interested in playing on an area all star team.  For more details see Coach Hostert or Coach Kallhoff and please let them know if you are interested in trying out. 

The following students need to turn in basketball gear to Coach Hostert ASAP: Connor Peterson, Mark Vavra, Josh Womack, & Deinote Wilson.

Senior girls:  PEO Chapter GT is sponsoring 4 - $250 scholarships to local Senior girls.  The deadline is April 1st. Application forms are available at the Guidance Office.

Seniors:  Application forms are available online for the Linhart Family Youth Scholarship.  In 2010 almost $30,000 was awarded to area students.  See the website at:  www.nebcommfound.org/fund/youthscholarship for more information.
 The deadline is April 15th.

The general schedule is posted in the halls, but is subject to some modification as needed.  Please pay attention to the announcements to dismiss groups to their picture location, and please make sure you are dressed appropriately and have your order sheet and money when you get there if you are ordering.  Order forms are available in the office for any students who wish to pick them up.  

Anyone in grades 9-11 who is interested in trying out for Fall Marching Band Color Guard there will be a meeting TODAY at 3:30 in Mod 4- See Mrs Brown for details.

The Student Council, FCCLA and FFA are sponsoring a dress up contest for St. Patrick’s Day on Thursday, March 17th.  3 winners will receive gift certificates from local restaurants.  The school dress code must be followed….have fun and come in your Green/Irish finest!  Winners will be announced at the end of the day.
