MAPS Testing for grades 7, 8, 9, and 10, will be held on April 30th and May 1st.  9th and 10th Grade report to their classrooms by 8 a.m. and will be done and dismissed by 11:30.  7th and 8th grade will report to their classrooms by 12 p.m. and be dismissed at 3:27.  Testing locations will be posted on Mrs. Braun’s door and the bulletin boards across the hall from her office.   Make up Testing for MAPS will be May 7th in the library, all day.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Make up NeSA Testing for Reading is TODAY at 9 am to 11:30.  It will be the same schedule and classrooms as before...you will not be required to come back after testing.  Track people will report to track.  

A representative from NCTA (Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture) will be here Tuesday, tomorrow, at 8am in the Ag Room. If you are interested in visiting with this representative please see Ms. Knabe or Mr. Fernau today for a pass.

FFA Highway clean-up scheduled for Monday, April 22nd after school has been postponed until May. Watch future announcements for rescheduled date. The chapter will still meet at the Humane Society at 5:30pm to plan for ground work.

The OHS class of 2014 would like to invite the public to attend the 2013 Prom Grand March which will immediately be followed by the Royalty Coronation on Saturday, April 13th.  Doors will open to the gym as soon as the gym has been cleared from the banquet, and we kindly ask that patrons remain in the main hallway until that time.  Please enter the school from the south doors only.  The Grand March will begin at 8:30PM Saturday, April 13th.

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  Prom pictures need to be scheduled by calling Studio B Photography at 402-482-5765. Please call early to get your desired appointment!!

The results of the STAR competition at State FCCLA includes State Champions and National qualifiers:  Allison Becker, Allison Ludwig, and Emily Morrow.  State gold medalists:  Holly Hesse, Morgan Langan, Maranda Winter, and Haley Schmeichel as well as silver medalist Abby Krysl.  Ariel Lichty was elected  Secretary of the State Financial Fitness Team.  The FCCLA Knowledge bowl team of Holly Hesse, Maranda Winter, Abby Krysl, Ariel Lichty and Marie Sitz finished in First place and Grace Bunner was elected District Vice President of Communications.
Juniors and Seniors going to prom, you MUST sign up your date with Mrs. Gotschall by the end day TODAY if you are planning on going to the dance.  Also, if you are planning to go through the Grand March, please come let Mrs. Gotschall know by the end of the day on Thursday.

The O’Neill High School chapter of the National Honor Society is accepting applications for induction into the organization. To become a member of National Honor Society, four requirements must be attained: scholarship, leadership, character, and service.  In addition, a student must have attained a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have been enrolled in OPS system for at least 3 semesters.  Application forms may be picked up from Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly beginning on Monday, April 8th and are due back to Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly no later than 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.  Students selected for the organization will be announced at the year-end Honor’s Convocation scheduled for Tuesday night, May 7.

Juniors and Seniors going to prom, you MUST sign up your date with Mrs. Gotschall by the end day on Thursday if you are planning on going to the dance.  Also, if you are planning to go through the Grand March, please come let Mrs. Gotschall know by the end of the day on Thursday.

Summer Drivers Ed forms are available in Mrs. Ludwig’s office.  Please pick one up if you are interested.

April 9th Chef Prepared Meal – Sizzling Caeser Salad includes fruit, veggie bar and milk for $3.95.

Students interested in working the JH (April 16) and SH (April 11) track meets should see Mr. Hostert for a pre-destine.  Only students competing or working the meet will be allowed to attend the HS meet next Thursday.  In order to work the meet you must be in good academic standing, which means NO “D”’s or “F”’s on your current report card.  Those not working or competing on April 11 will need to report to school.  

NeSA testing schedule for 7th, 8th, and 11th grade:  7th grade will test TODAY from 12:30 - 2:30.  8th grade will test TODAY from 9:00 - 12:00.  11th grade students will test on April 9th from 9:00 - 11:00 and 1:00-3:00 and again on April 10th from 9:00 -11:00.  7th and 8th grades will only be in school on the 4th during their testing times and will have the remainder of that time off from school. 11th grade students will only be in school on April 9th and 10th during those designated times.  On the 9th, students will have two hour lunch and break and may leave campus for lunch.   All students must be in their designated classrooms and ready to begin testing at the times listed.  Please see your NeSA testing location posted on Mrs. Braun's door.
