ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Seniors – Eastern Star Scholarship applications are due to be returned to the Guidance Office by Monday, March 29th.  Please note earlier due date.

FCCLA members we need people to go to the Evergreen on Monday to make a craft project.  See Mrs. Mann if you can go.

The 2009–10 season ending boys basketball gathering will be held at Tia Zias TONIGHT @ 6 pm.  All high school boys who played basketball, coaches, filmers and managers are encouraged to attend as there is no cost.  Season ending awards will be presented at this time.  Please see Coach Hostert with any questions.

7th Grade NeSA testing for reading and math will be Tuesday, March 30th (session 1 of 2) &Wednesday, March 31st (session 2 of 2) .  Please report to the following rooms for periods 1, 2, & 3: Last Name A- F = Room 210; Last Name G-P = Room 212; Last Name Q-Z = Room 213.

Any juniors interested in attending RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Activity) camp should pick up information from Mr. Fernau or contact Mrs. Shane.

Students attending Chadron Scholastic Contest must attend a brief meeting in Mrs. Troester's mod 2, north side at 11:45 on Wednesday,  
March 31. O” club members traveling to Denver on Thursday need to get their pre destines from Mr. Hostert and have them turned in by Wednesday.  If you are interested in travelling and have not signed up yet please see Mr. Hostert today as there are only 4 seats available.

Juniors and Seniors:  You may begin signing up for prom TODAY with Mrs. Gotschall.  Remember, all banquet attendees EXCEPT seniors must pay $10 this year.  You must pay when you sign up for the banquet and table seating.  You MUST be signed up and paid for by NOON on April 7th!

O’Neill Softball/Baseball Registration Saturday, March 27 from 9 am to Noon at the O’Neill Public Library.  For more information check the bulletin board outside of the office.

The bus to the “O” club trip to Denver has 54 occupants and is full.  There still are 8 students who signed up and have not paid a deposit.  You have until TODAY AT NOON to hand in your deposit or your spot will be opened up.  If you are academically ineligible you will need to fill out a sheet to get cleared for next week.  Any questions please see Mr. Hostert.

Juniors and Seniors:  You may begin signing up for the prom on Monday in room 212.  Please come prepared with the following:
1)  The banquet will cost $10 for ALL attendees EXCEPT OHS Seniors...you must pay at the time of sign up.  Checks are payable to OHS with PROM in the memo.  Please do not bring a bill larger than a 20 if paying in cash.  You must be signed up and paid for no later than NOON on APRIL 7th.
2) Table sign-up will occur at the time you pay for your banquet.  Students will not be allowed to sign up students who have not paid, and students are not allowed to request students to be moved from tables to make room for others; the person moving must make this request.
3)  If you would like a T-shirt, please sign up for one so we can get an approximation of how many we will need. A pay date and exact cost will be announced soon.
4)  All students attending the dance MUST sign up dates no later than NOON April 16th.

“O” club members need to turn in their $30 deposit money to Mr. Hostert by 4:00 pm today so tickets can be ordered.  As of this morning we have money from only 15 students.  We need at least 35 members to attend and 45 have signed up.  “O” club officers need to see Mr. Hostert sometime today.

Meeting for anyone interested in trying out for Fall Flag Corps will be Wednesday, March 17th in Mod 4 @ 3:20.  Practices start Thursday @ 7:20 am.

There will be a senior class meeting next Friday at 11:50 in the library.  We have several things to discuss about graduation week so please be prompt and come with ideas about speakers, baccalaureate, flowers...  See Mrs. Crumly before that day if you are interested in being a graduation speaker or if you wish to work on the baccalaureate planning committee.

There will be a Nebraska Agriculture Youth Council member from the Nebraska Department of Agriculture here on Wednesday at 2:30PM.  He will be here to talk to Juniors and Seniors who are interested in applying for the Nebraska Agriculture Youth Institute that is held for  
4 days in July each summer.  The institute is put on by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture at no cost to students.  If you are  
interested in pursuing a career in the agriculture field, especially agribusiness or production agriculture, this would be very beneficial  
for you. This is a prestigious institute which only about 100 students from Nebraska are accepted to each year. If you are interested in 
listening to the speaker on Wednesday afternoon, please see Ms. Knabe as soon as possible.

Holt County Economic Development is looking for a couple of students who would be interested in being a part of the next Holt County Leadership Institute class.  Sophomores or Juniors are preferred.  Recent participants from OHS are Emily Sallach and Bergan Carr.  See Mrs. Hull for more information.

There is an FFA Meeting on Tuesday, March 2nd @ 7:00PM in the Ag Room.  Members need to wear chapter t-shirts and officers & committee chairs need to wear polos for a chapter picture.
