ANNOUNCEMENTS

O’Neill High School National Honor Society is Accepting Applications:  The O’Neill High School chapter of the National Honor Society is accepting applications for induction into the organization. To become a member of National Honor Society, four requirements must be attained: scholarship, leadership, character, and service.  In addition, a student must have attained a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have been enrolled in OPS system for at least 3 semesters.  Application forms may be picked up from Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly beginning on Monday, April 7th and are due back to Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly no later than 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.  Students selected for the organization will be announced at the year-end Honor’s Convocation scheduled for Tuesday night, May 13.

Predestine forms are available now in each 7th period classroom for the Friday matinee / dress rehearsal of STRIKING 12.  Students remember to turn in these forms completed with your $1 or food item to your 7th period teachers before Friday if you are planning on attending the show, with your teachers’ permission.  We hope to see you at the show!

STRIKING 12 is showing Saturday @ 7:00 pm and Sunday @ 2:00.  Tickets are available at the door for $4 / student.  STRIKING 12 is a contemporary drama/comedy set in current day New York combining the musical sounds of rock, jazz, folk, and  other popular styles into a three layer performance.  This is a fast-paced fun show you do not want to miss!

Students interested in helping with the O’Neill Track Invite on Thursday April 17 should see Mr. N. Hostert sometime soon.

The School is looking to have two people for the summer paint crew.  See Mr. Steve Brown for details and an application.

There will be a girls basketball meeting, Wednesday at 11:45 for Sophomores & Juniors and another at 12:30 for 8th graders & Freshman who are planning on playing basketball next year.  See Coach E if you have any questions or if you will not be able to attend.

NeSA testing begins TOMORROW for grades 7, 8, and 11th.  We will be testing the 8th, 9th, 10th,  and 15th of April.  See the schedule for your testing time. Your testing room assignments are posted outside of the library and in the student lounge.  Please report to the room you are scheduled to test in promptly. You will need your computer and it will need to be FULLY charged BEFORE you arrive.  You will not be allowed to use any other kind of electronic equipment the entire time you are testing. Leave your phones, iPods and other electronics in your locker and TURNED OFF (so they aren't drawing on our internet connection).  Please bring reading material along to the test, as that is the only thing you are allowed to do between tests.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Braun.

Seniors wishing to have their photos in the Senior Video need to get their baby picture, senior picture and 2 other photos to Mr. Peterson by April 11th.
