ANNOUNCEMENTS
2014-2015 Drill Team tryouts will be next week! Any students 8th through 11th grade interested in trying out for Drill Team please plan to attend a short informational meeting on Monday, May 5th @ 3:30pm in the Ag Room. This should not last more than 10 minutes. Practice locations will be announced at the informational meeting. See Ms. Knabe if you have any questions.

If anyone is interested in running for Student Council president or vice president, please get an application from Mrs. Troester.  The applications are due by Friday, May 2nd with speeches on Friday, May 9 at 8:00 A.M.   If you are interested in running for Secretary or Treasurer of Student Council, come tell Mrs. Troester and you will be put on the ballot. You don’t have to give a speech. Please let her know by Friday, May 2nd.
 The executive officers of the Student Council shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
 QUALIFICATIONS OF OFFICERS:
 1.    A student eligible for an executive office on the Student Council must maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point average andhave no permanent failures from the previous semester.
2.    The President must be a Senior and of good moral character.
3.    The Vice-President must be a Senior OR Junior and of good moral character.
4.    The Secretary and Treasurer may be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and of good moral character.
5.    Cannot be an executive officer in other organizations.
Any student in grades 7-11 that are interested in running for Student Council Class Representative, please sign up in Mrs. Troester’s room know. LAST DAY for Student athletes, coaches, parents and fans to get signed up or purchase tickets for the 2014 athletic banquet.  Everyone is invited to attend as we would like to have a big crowd on hand.  Student athletes in grades 9-12 and coaches need to sign up and the booster club will pay for their admission.  Everyone else may buy tickets at the high school for $15.  Eric Crouch will be our guest speaker and he will be available for pictures from 5-6 pm.  Plan to spend the evening and enjoy!

Any girls that are currently in grades 8 through 12 and either played softball last season or are seriously considering the possibility of playing next season, you are invited to attend a Husker softball game on Sunday, May 4th.  If interested and need details let Coach Price or Coach G. know as soon as possible so we can plan transportation.  Your only cost will be for food and any Husker souvenirs that you might want to purchase.

Post Prom tickets will be for sale in the Multi-Purpose room TODAY during Junior/Senior lunchtime. Tickets are $2 each & everyone (including dates) needs one to attend Post Prom.

To become a member of National Honor Society, four requirements must be attained: scholarship, leadership, character, and service.  In addition, a student must have attained a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have been enrolled in OPS system for at least 3 semesters.  Application forms may be picked up from Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly beginning on Monday, April 7th and are due back to Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly no later than 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.  Students selected for the organization will be announced at the year-end Honor’s Convocation scheduled for Tuesday night, May 13.

To become a member of National Honor Society, four requirements must be attained: scholarship, leadership, character, and service.  In addition, a student must have attained a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have been enrolled in OPS system for at least 3 semesters.  Application forms may be picked up from Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly beginning on Monday, April 7th and are due back to Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly no later than 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.  Students selected for the organization will be announced at the year-end Honor’s Convocation scheduled for Tuesday night, May 13.

Students interested in helping with the O’Neill Track Invite on Thursday April 17 should see Mr. N. Hostert sometime soon.

The School is looking to have two people for the summer paint crew.  See Mr. Steve Brown for details and an application.

O’Neill High School National Honor Society is Accepting Applications:  The O’Neill High School chapter of the National Honor Society is accepting applications for induction into the organization. STRIKING 12 is showing Saturday @ 7:00 pm and Sunday @ 2:00.  Tickets are available at the door for $4 / student.  STRIKING 12 is a contemporary drama/comedy set in current day New York combining the musical sounds of rock, jazz, folk, and  other popular styles into a three layer performance.  This is a fast-paced fun show you do not want to miss!
