ALL MUSICAL CAST - There is an orientation meeting TONIGHT at 6:30 in the music room.  If you cannot attend, speak to Mr. Jaques as soon as possible.

Worldstrides group will be offering a Pork Patty Supper for the Twin River Game on Saturday. The meal will include sandwich, chips, dessert and drink. Good will offering.

Any FFA member, 8th grade through 11th grade, interested in attending National FFA Convention in October 2011 needs to see Ms. Knabe TODAY. There is a limit to the first 6 males and 6 females.

MUSICAL CREW MEMBERS WANTED - Speak to Mr. Jaques or Mrs. Ludwig if you are interested in helping out with set construction, artwork, makeup, and/or stage crew.  A sign-up sheet is posted on the music room door.  Be part of the creative team!

Congratulations to the FCCLA STAR participants!  District Champions and State Qualifiers include:  Heidi Hostert, Tasha Lechtenberg, Natalie Brodersen, and Ariel Lichty.  District Runners-up were Laura Lueninghoener, Jessica Marvin and Maranda Winter.  Other gold medalists were:  Holly Hesse, and Tyson Hostert.  Silver medals were awarded to: Grace Bunner, Sarah Devall, Allison Beckwith, Amanda Pischel, Emily Elsbury, Abby Krysl, Morgan Langan, Natasha Rowe, Marie Sitz, and Maranda Winter.  The senior high group also finished as chapter runners-up.

The Junior class prom committee is interested in ordering glasses this year. Due to the fact that people haven’t been paying in the past years, getting them is a little more challenging than we would like. In order to receive them, we need to know who is all interested. When you place your order for the glasses, you will need to pay at the same time. We need around 75 people to order them or we can’t get them, if you are interested come to Kasey Hoffman or Jordan Mauch.

Juniors who signed up to be on prom committee will have a lunch meeting TODAY to make some important prom decisions.  Students who signed up are EXPECTED to attend.  If you can not attend, you need to see Mrs. Gotschall BEFORE the meeting.  Attendance will be taken.  Students will be dismissed at 11:20 to get their lunches and should then go to Room 212 for the meeting.

Norfolk Catholic concession stand will be offering a Meal Deal at TONIGHTS boys & girls basketball games.  The meal deal is a BBQ Pork Sandwich Meal Deal for $4.00.  The meal includes sandwich, chips, cookie and a drink.

Book Club meets TODAY!!  Mrs. Crumly is providing pizza.  Come hungry for both pizza and discussion.

Juniors who signed up to be on prom committee will have a lunch meeting on TUESDAY, January  25th to make some important prom decisions.  Students who signed up are EXPECTED to attend.  If you can not attend, you need to see Mrs. Gotschall BEFORE the meeting.  Attendance will be taken.  Students will be dismissed at 11:20 to get their lunches and should then go to Room 212 for the meeting.

This is a great opportunity for someone who would be committed to a week this summer for educational purposes relating to the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship and government. It can be a fun and rewarding week. If you are in the junior class (boy or girl) and are interested, please see Mr. Brosz sometime within the next few weeks. He’ll have some information for you to look over that may be helpful. Also, students who participated last year (Heidi Hostert, Morgan Devall, Kevin Zakrzewski, and Nate Wabs) are sources of information. Any student interested in talking with Senator Nelson about the DREAM Act or any other piece of legislation you are interested in should plan to get a pass to the lecture hall at 9:30 am TODAY.  Students without a pass will not be admitted. All interested Juniors can meet with Senator Nelson at 10 am in the lecture hall, 10:30 all interested students will meet in the gym for the Apple Presentation.

Ms. Myers still has a large bag of items cleaned out of the lockers before Christmas.  If you are missing anything please come claim it.  Otherwise they will go to Good Will.
The American Legion will be selecting junior class representatives from our school for Boys and Girls State.  This is a great opportunity for someone who would be committed to a week this summer for educational purposes relating to the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship and government.  It can be a fun and rewarding week.  If you are in the junior class (boy or girl) and are interested, please see Mr. Brosz sometime within the next few weeks.  He’ll have some information for you to look over that may be helpful.  Also, students who participated last year (Heidi Hostert, Morgan Devall, Kevin Zakrzewski, and Nate Wabs) are sources of information.  Also:  Please see Mr. Brosz if any Junior Student is interested in the Junior Law Cadet Program.  Another great program sponsored by the Legion.
Any student interested in talking with Senator Nelson about the DREAM Act or any other piece of legislation you are interested in should plan to get a pass to the lecture hall at 9:30 THURSDAY morning.  Students without a pass will not be admitted. 
OHS Students and Staff:  Have you completed the survey for the future of 24/7 Learning yet?  Be sure to click on the link in the announcements section on Angel and share your honest feedback by Friday.  Also, if anyone is willing to give a short video testimonial on the topic, please stop by the Library where a Photo Booth recording station has been set up.  Click record, share a reason or two why the laptops should be continued, and that's it!  Your support is critical is the future planning of this initiative at OHS.  Thank you.

There will be an informational meeting TODAY at 3:15 in the library for any sophomores or juniors interested in attending the Rotary Youth Leadership camp this summer.  This is a great experience and would look good on college and scholarship applications.
If anyone else is interested in trying out for musical please get in touch with Mr. Jaques this week.  We will be making decisions very soon.
Sample frolics ballots are posted.  Please check these if your name is missing & you think it should be there.  Please see Mrs. Mann before Monday.

The Knights of Columbus will again sponsor a free throw shooting competition.  It will be held on Saturday January 8 at St. Mary’s gym starting at 10:30.  Gym opens at 9:30.  This is for all area youth ages 10-14, as of January 1, 2011, for boys and girls.  Forms can be picked up at the high school or on site Saturday.
