Students:  The Monday Memo for this week contains the final schedules for MAPS testing and for the last day of school.  Good idea to watch.  Also, the schedule for the last day of school is posted by each restroom in the main hallway.

Juniors who are required to remain until noon will be notified via email today before noon.  If you are not notified, you will be allowed to leave after checking in your laptop tomorrow morning.  All juniors are to report to the lunchroom by 8 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

There will be a cross country meeting for any student who wants to run high school for 2015-2016 school.  It will be May 12, right after school in Mr. Hilker’s room.

Congratulations to the Dinosaurs for winning the JH Boys Track Laugh Olympics.  They came from behind to edge the Salukis by winning the final event of the competition, the 400 meter relay.  Team members include Dennis Herrera, Braxton Stauffer, Brandon Hopson, Kolby Dean, Trinity Mosel, and Chuy Munoz.  Final team standings:  Dinosaurs 45, Salukis 44, Aardvarks 39, Tarantulas 32, Hyenas 31, and Tigers 25

Any student in grades 7-11 that are interested in running for Student Council Class Representative, please sign up in Mrs. Troester’s room know. You will vote for class representatives when you vote for President & Vice President at the end of the school year. Sign up with Mrs. Troester by Friday, May 8th. If you are a class representative, you cannot be an executive officer in other organizations.

Senior Athletes:  If you want to purchase your poster that was hanging in the gym please see Mrs. Ludwig.  The cost is $15.

Students:  The HS Honors Convocation is Tuesday, May 12th at 7:30 pm.  Please check the list outside of Mrs. Ludwig’s to see if you need to be in attendance.  However all students are encouraged and welcome to attend.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

All current National Honor Society members - there is a MANDATORY mtg Tuesday May 5 at 7:30 a.m. in Mrs Kelly’s Rm  We will be discussing the Honors Night Program

If anyone is interested in running for Student Council president or vice president, please get an application from Mrs. Troester.  The applications are due by Friday, May 8th with speeches on Friday, May 15th at 8:00 A.M.
 If you are interested in running for Secretary or Treasurer of Student Council, come tell Mrs. Troester and you will be put on the ballot. You don’t have to give a speech. Please let her know by Friday, May 8th.
 The executive officers of the Student Council shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
 QUALIFICATIONS OF OFFICERS:
1.    A student eligible for an executive office on the Student Council must maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point
       average and have no permanent failures from the previous semester.
2.    The President must be a Senior and of good moral character.
3.    The Vice-President must be a Senior OR Junior and of good moral character.
4.    The Secretary and Treasurer may be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and of good moral character.
5.    Cannot be an executive officer in other organizations.
