ANNOUNCEMENTS

There will be a pizza party for all junior high wrestlers TODAY during lunch time.  You need to have all of your equipment and/or fines paid to come eat pizza.

Juniors and Seniors:  There will be an alumni luncheon at 11:30 -12:00 on Friday in the library.  You will have a panel of last years seniors to discuss college life with you.  Pizza will be provided.  You must RSVP by e-mailing or telling Mrs. Braun by noon today (Thursday) to attend.

AUDITIONS! - This spring's musical is THE LITTLE MERMAID.  LAST DAY for auditions.  Anyone grades 9-12 may audition to be part of the cast.  To audition, fill out an audition sheet (found on the bulletin board next to the music room), sign up for a time to audition, and prepare a short song to sing for us.  The song can be any school appropriate song you feel comfortable singing.  You will also be asked to read from the script.  This is a fun, upbeat, classic Disney musical which appeals to kids and adults alike!  Be part of our world and join the musical!  Got questions?  Ask Mr. Jaques anytime before auditions.

One last reminder, tomorrow morning is the last day you can exchange 1 can of food for every dollar owed at the library.  Bring them in, make sure I know!  Mrs. Braun

The school that collects the MOST food items will get to see their principal dance with the drill team during half time of a basketball game. Our provider, Lunchtime Solutions is always looking for ways to improve and this is your change to share your thoughts.  Look for the survey link in your email on Tuesday morning.  You will only have one day to complete the survey.

The annual food drive will be held as a competition between the elementary and the high school, but we will also have a competition among grades K-6 and grades 7-12. The school that collects the MOST food items will get to see their principal dance with the drill team during half time of a basketball game. The class from the winning school will get to dress their principal for the dance.

Students:  Tomorrow morning, you will receive a link in your school email account.  This link will take you to a school lunch survey.  You are invited to participate and offer your feedback to the company that runs our school lunch program (Lunchtime Solutions).  The survey will ask a variety of questions about the lunch program. Our provider, Lunchtime Solutions is always looking for ways to improve and this is your change to share your thoughts.  Look for the survey link in your email on Tuesday morning.  You will only have one day to complete the survey.

The O’Neill Boys Basketball team held its fundraising raffle on Friday, November 22nd,  after practice with the following winners being drawn out at random by Senior team members.  First prize of the 50” LG flat screen tv from Dons TV in downtown O’Neill went to Emily Possnecker, Second prize of 4 Husker Mens Basketball Tickets vs. Creighton, donated by Stadium Sports, went to Franscisco Quintero, and Third prize of a pair of shoes up to $100 value from Stadium Sports in downtown O’Neill went to Tony Emme.  We would like to give a big thank you to our local businesses for their contributions and to everyone who bought a ticket or gave donations to our team.  We hope to see everyone on December 4th as we start our season at home vs the Valentine Badgers.  Go Eagles!

Any high school students interested in joining/forming an O'Neill High School Rotary Interact Club is invited to join the O'Neill Satellite Rotary Club meeting TONIGHT at 7:00 at Tia Zia.  The group will focus on organizing activities that will benefit the community of O'Neill.  Interested students can contact Mrs. Ludwig or come at 7:00 TONIGHT at Tia Zia.

Senior student/athletes:  We are going to get senior athlete photo posters up in the gym.  The Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring this.  You will need your uniform to take the picture with the sport you want to represent.  You may also have a ball, club, shoes, etc. in the picture if it relates to the sport.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Juniors and Seniors:  The following college representatives will be at O'Neill High School this week:    Joseph College - Cosmetology on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and Chadron State College on Friday at 1:00 p.m.  See Mr. Fernau or Mrs. Ludwig or Mrs. Braun for a pass to visit with these reps.

Any high school students interested in joining/forming an O'Neill High School Rotary Interact Club is invited to join the O'Neill Satellite Rotary Club meeting on Tuesday, November 11th at 7:00 at Tia Zia.  The group will focus on organizing activities that will benefit the community of O'Neill.  Interested students can contact Mrs. Ludwig or come at 7:00 on Tuesday at Tia Zia.

Senior student/athletes:  We are going to get senior athlete photo posters up in the gym.  The Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring this.  You will need your uniform to take the picture with the sport you want to represent.  You may also have a ball, club, shoes, etc. in the picture if it relates to the sport.
Criteria for the Photo:
1. Must be an OHS Senior
2. Must be in a state sanctioned (NSAA) sporting event (Golf, Football, Cross Country, Volleyball, Softball, Basketball, Wrestling and/or Track.)
3. Must wear school issued uniform of the same color for your sport.
4. If the athlete quits during the year, the photo comes down.

The Photos will be taken next Wednesday from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the gym.  If you have early out please get this done right away, otherwise plan on having the picture taken right when school gets out.  Listed are the student/athletes that we know/think have already participated or plan to participate in a sport.  If your name is not on the list, or a sport you participate in is not listed, and you think it should be, talk with your coach.  THE LISTS ARE POSTED AROUND THE SCHOOL.

There are two tables in the library heaped with old non-fiction books, everything from literature, to history, music, art, science, and magic.  If you would like any of these books, please come look at those two tables, and take any of them you like. Students please check your school email regularly.  All students in grades 7-12 were sent an email communicating the opportunity to complete a survey.  By participating in the survey, you have the opportunity to give the school some feedback on several key areas.  The survey should take approximately 10 minutes at the most.  It is not require and we will not see individual responses.  This survey must be completed by the end of the day on Friday (today).

Starting this coming Monday and continuing most every week, Mr. Fisher will send an email called Monday Memo.  These memo's are usually brief video or audio podcasts communicating important information to all students.  This will be another way of communicating to all students helpful and important information and expectation reminders.

A 2016 European Adventure Q&A, planning, and enrollment meeting will be held Sunday, November 9th at 7:45 at O'Neill High School in Room 212.
