1.  Using a proxy site to get around the filter is against the AUP that you agreed to follow.  If you need a site unblocked for class, ask your teacher to email Mr. Buller.
2.  BAGS and TAGS are required on your laptop at all times. Not using the blue school case means not being able to carry around a laptop.
3.  For anyone who has to Check-in their laptop on a daily basis-- it needs to be in Mrs. Morrow's room immediately when the bell rings after 8th period (or sooner).  Please follow the nightly check-in procedures exactly or risk having the consequence extended.  If you are on a second offense, your Check-in/Check-out period is 2 MONTHS.
4.  Laptops are for school-use only during school.  Gaming and any kind of social chatting - not just iChat- during school or studyhall will warrant loss of your laptop privileges.
Thanks for your time and attention to this rule reminder.

The CNCS Food Pantry cannot accept our donation until Tuesday, November 30th.  So the Food Drive has been extended for one week.  Please take this opportunity to be generous and help fill their shelves!  The Student Council guys will deliver next Tuesday morning.

OHS Speech Team Results

Nine members of the O'Neill Speech Team ventured to Norfolk High School for the Roger Maxwell Speech Invitation on Friday, November 12th.  Other teams in attendance were Kearney, LIncoln East, North Platte, Omaha Mercy, Grand Island, Lincoln Northeast, Norfolk, Omaha Gross, and Norfolk Catholic.  The team competed in ten events.  Of those ten, three received medals.  Results were:

Maranda Winter-  1st Place Novice Interpretation
Shane Miles, Nolan Swanson, Kevin Zakrzewski, and Allison Depko- 3rd Place Oral Interpretation of Drama
Morgan Langan- 5th Novice Interpretation

The team placed 5th out of 10 teams.  Coach Brian Mohr said, "This was a great way to start off our season.  The team got to see material that was high caliber especially for so early in the season.  Teams like Kearney, Lincoln East, and North Platte are in the upper echelon of speech teams in the state regardless of class.  Hopefully, it will serve as a motivation for what is possible through hard work, dedication, and a drive toward excellence.  Now, we have to revise and polish existing events and get up new events to fill our team's entries out across the board before the brunt of our season starts in January."  The team will host and compete in the O'Neill 'Speaking Eagle' Invitational on Saturday January 8th ,2010.  If any community member would like to be a hired judge, please e-mail Brian Mohr at bmohr@esu8.org.
