ANNOUNCEMENTS

SENIORS - We begin working on the senior song for graduation on TODAY during the last 20 minutes of 6th period.  If you are singing, it is your responsibility to work it out with your 6th period teachers to attend the rehearsals.  We will rehearse every day up to May 11th.  ALSO Seniors:  If you had a poster hanging in the gym they are yours to purchase.  The cost is $15 -  please get them picked up from Mrs. Ludwig.

The Booster Club meeting scheduled for Monday May 2 has been postponed to Tuesday May 3 and will be held in room 326 at O'Neill High School.  This is our last meeting for the 2015-016 school year.

The Holocaust Literature class is hosting an open house in the OHS Library tomorrow evening for Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah).  Student galleries will be featured, and we will be joined by a local guest speaker, Sophie Umubyeyi Kopecky, who will share her story about surviving the 1994 Rwandan Genocide as a child, and how her experience has affected her life. Please join us from 6:30-8:15PM for this special event!

Students, you STILL HAVE TIME to order your yearbook!  Check your email for the link and instructions to do so.  Time is running out!

The following students still owe $$ for their Beatles t-shirts:  AJ Buller, Ephraim Bunner, Hali Kloppenborg, Akysha Kinnison. Izabel Kleinberg, Izaiah Munoz, Xavier Munoz, Kelsey Osborne, Harlie Pinkerman, Kassandra Recinos, Alexis Stevensen, Isela Verdin, Melody Walton.  Get the money to Mr. Jaques ASAP.

If anyone is interested in running for Student Council president or vice president, please get an application from Mrs. Troester.  The applications are due by Friday, May 6th with speeches on Friday, May 13th at 8:00 A.M.  
  If you are interested in running for Secretary or Treasurer of Student Council, come tell Mrs. Troester, and you will be put on the ballot. You don’t have to give a speech. Please let her know by Friday, May 6th
  The executive officers of the Student Council shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
 IF YOU PLAN TO RUN AS AN EXECUTIVE OFFICER, BRING YOUR LUNCH TO MRS. TROESTER’S ROOM ON FRIDAY, MAY 6TH FOR AN INFORMATIVE MEETING. 
  QUALIFICATIONS OF OFFICERS:
A student eligible for an executive office on the Student Council must maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point average and have no permanent failures from the previous semester.
1.  The President must be a Senior and of good moral character.
2. The Vice-President must be a Senior OR Junior and of good moral character.
3.  The Secretary and Treasurer may be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and of good moral character.
4.  Cannot be executive officer in other organizations.

Any student in grades 7-11 that are interested in running for Student Council Class Representative, please sign up in Mrs. Troester’s room know. You will vote for class representatives when you vote for President & Vice President at the end of the school year. Sign up with Mrs. Troester by Friday, May 6th. If you are a class representative, you cannot be an executive officer in other organizations.
