ANNOUNCEMENTS

All track athletes not competing at the District track meet in O’Neill need to check in their uniforms and sweats on Monday, May 9th. If you would like to help with the District meet, see Coach Peterson, Coach Hilker or Mr. Nick Hostert.

A reminder to all "O" club members that those who signed up and paid your deposit should plan to leave OHS on Saturday at 11 am to Sioux City.  Please see Mr. N. Hostert with questions.

Students:  HS Honor Convocation is Tuesday night at 7:30 pm.  Please check the list outside of Mrs. Ludwig’s office to see if you need to attend.  Thank you.

There will be a meeting of all girls, grades 8-11 planning on playing softball next fall on Wednesday, May 11 at 7:30 am in the weight room.

TODAY is the deadline to register for the June 11th ACT.  We will still be offering the June ACT in O’Neill, however, because of the building project here at the high school, the test will be held at the elementary school.  I believe when you sign up you will now have to select the elementary building.  Also if you have already registered you have been switched to the elementary building as well.   If you have any questions please see Mrs. Corkle.

Summer Job:  The Heating & Air Conditioning Company is looking for help this summer.  Applicants must be 18 years of age.  See Mr. Steve Brown if interested.

The following have been named to the NSAA Academic All State team for the Spring Semester and should plan to take a picture on Tuesday May 10 at 8:00 am.  Please dress up for this picture.  Walker Liewer, Nathaniel Jennings, Aurora Gutshall, Abby Gillham, Bailey Krieger, James Walton, Josh Cuddy, & Jared Hammurlun.



If anyone is interested in running for Student Council president or vice president, please get an application from Mrs. Troester.  The applications are due by Friday, May 6th with speeches on Friday, May 13th at 8:00 A.M.
  If you are interested in running for Secretary or Treasurer of Student Council, come tell Mrs. Troester, and you will be put on the ballot. You don’t have to give a speech. Please let her know by Friday, May 6th.
  The executive officers of the Student Council shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
 IF YOU PLAN TO RUN AS AN EXECUTIVE OFFICER, BRING YOUR LUNCH TO MRS. TROESTER’S ROOM ON FRIDAY, MAY 6TH FOR AN INFORMATIVE MEETING.
  QUALIFICATIONS OF OFFICERS:
A student eligible for an executive office on the Student Council must maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point average and have no permanent failures from the previous semester.
1.  The President must be a Senior and of good moral character.
2. The Vice-President must be a Senior OR Junior and of good moral character.
3.  The Secretary and Treasurer may be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and of good moral character.
4.  Cannot be executive officer in other organizations.

Any student in grades 7-11 that are interested in running for Student Council Class Representative, please sign up in Mrs. Troester’s room know. You will vote for class representatives when you vote for President & Vice President at the end of the school year. Sign up with Mrs. Troester by Friday, May 6th. If you are a class representative, you cannot be an executive officer in other organizations.
