All staff and students will be dismissed to the gym at 3:15 TODAY for a State Speech sendoff.

If you were nominated for the NECC Scholastic Contest, make sure you get your picture taken for spring activities TODAY.  Check the schedule.

The O’Neill Track Team is selling t-shirts.  Order forms are in Mr. Hilker’s room.  We will be putting our order in TODAY.

TODAY at 10:30 am there will be a presenter from the Nebraska Dept of Ag to discuss Nebraska Ag Youth Institute.  The presentation will be about 15 minutes long and take place in the Ag room.  This is for 10th grade through 12th grade.

American Legion: O’Neill Irish Sr. & Jr. baseball registration forms can be picked up by the front office.  Registration meeting will be TODAY at 3:30 pm at OHS MP Room.

There are two groups from Ohio that will be in the building on Thursday, March 22nd to look at the 24/7 program. 

Juniors and Seniors interested in learning more information about the University of Nebraska at Kearney, a representative from UNK will be here on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.  See Mr. Fernau or Mrs. Ludwig for a pass.

Students, this is a reminder about on-line safety.  Please remember to never share personal information with anyone over the internet.  Never agree to meet anyone you have met on-line.  If a post makes you uncomfortable, tell a parent or other adult. 

Thanks to everyone who competed, attended, or helped with the talent show last night.  What a wonderful display of talent was presented.

Seniors:  Two new scholarship applications are now available.  Applications for the “Linhart Family Youth Scholarship” are available.  This scholarship is based on written essay, recommendations, high character, good citizenship, and moral conduct.  The Scholarship is due April 15, 2012 and can be picked up in Mrs. Ludwig’s office.  Applications for the American Legion Riders Scholarship are due April 1st and can be picked up in Mrs. Ludwig’s office.  Remember that most local scholarships are due April 2.  Make sure to check the due dates and turn in your local scholarships to Mr. Fernau or Mrs. Ludwig unless directed otherwise.

On Monday April 9 the “O” club will travel to watch the Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Phoenix Sun at Minneapolis.  7:00 pm game time.  A $25 deposit is required to hold your spot.  Please make checks payable to OHS and give them to Mr. Hostert by Thursday March 29.  You will get $20 back when you get on the bus.  The additional $5 is for a hat or t-shirt.  Please list your t-shirt size on the sign-up sheet outside Mr. Hostert’s office. 

Please excuse all track athletes pre-destined out March 23rd, at 11:45 for the Ainsworth Relay Meet.

Cheerleading tryouts for the 2012-2013 Fall and Winter squads will be held on March 28th.  This is available to all students grades 8 through 11. Practices will be held in the morning on March 26th, 27th, and 28th. There will be a short meeting after school on March 23rd. There is a sign up sheet outside of Mrs. Kelly's classroom if you are interested in trying out.
