ANNOUNCEMENTS

Attention High School Basketball Players:  TONIGHT is our year end banquet at Tia Zia starting at 6:30.  Please plan to attend as we will bring the season to an end and hand out season ending awards.  If you can NOT make it please let Coach Kallhoff know. 

FCCLA would like to invite everyone to the talent show tonight at 6:30 in the gym.  Come and enjoy an evening of fun and remarkable talent.

If you were nominated for the NECC Scholastic Contest, make sure you get your picture taken for spring activities on Wednesday. Check the schedule.

March 21st at 10:30am there will be a presenter from the Nebraska Dept. of Ag to discuss Nebraska Ag Youth Institute. The presentation will be about 15 minutes long and take place in the Ag room. This is for 10th grade through 12th grade.

Reminder: TODAY is the last day to order FFA State Convention t-shirts.

Seniors:  Two new scholarship applications are now available.  Applications for the "Linhart Family Youth Scholarship" are available.  This scholarship is based on written essay, recommendations, high character, good citizenship, and moral conduct.  The Scholarship is due April 15, 2012 and can be picked up in Mrs. Ludwig's office.  Applications for the American Legion Riders Scholarship is due April 1st and can be picked up in Mrs. Ludwig's office.  Remember that most local scholarship are due April 2.  Make sure to check the due dates and turn in your local scholarships to Mr. Fernau or Mrs. Ludwig unless directed otherwise.

Juniors and Seniors interested in learning more information about the University of Nebraska at Kearney, a representative from UNK will be here on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.  See Mr. Fernau or Mrs. Ludwig for a pass.




On Monday April 9 the “O” club will travel to watch the Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Phoenix Sun at Minneapolis.  7:00 pm game time.  A $25 deposit is required to hold your spot.  Please make checks payable to OHS and give them to Mr. Hostert by Thursday March 29.  You will get $20 back when you get on the bus.  The additional $5 is for a hat or t-shirt.  Please list your t-shirt size on the sign-up sheet outside Mr. Hostert’s office. 

Please excuse all track athletes pre-destined out March 23rd, at 11:45 for the Ainsworth Relay Meet.

The following students need to bring tournament dress, for a Speech Team Picture retake, on Wednesday, March 21st.  You will be called out of class when it is time.  Allison Depko, Amber de Groot,

The O'Neill Track Team is selling t-shirts.  Order forms are in Mr. Hilker's room.  We will be putting our order in Wednesday, March 21st.

Students and Teachers:  I am looking for some old sweatpants that you no longer want, as I need to cut them up, and also some thigh high socks, preferably bright colored ones.  If you have any of those items, I would like to use them for musical.  Thanks Mrs. Ludwig

The following seniors need to turn in photos for the senior video.  Please get them turned into Mr. Peterson ASAP.  Beatriz Dominguez, Sergio Luzania; Joshua Schmit & Chris Walton.

Musical Cast:  Please stop by Mrs. Ludwig’s office and order you shirt for musical.  The cost will be $12.00. 

American Legion: O’Neill Irish Sr. & Jr. baseball registration forms can be picked up by the front office.  Registration meeting will be at 3:30 pm, Wednesday, March 21 at OHS in the MP Room.

Cheerleading tryouts for the 2012-2013 Fall and Winter squads will be held on March 28th.  This is available to all students grades 8 through 11. Practices will be held in the morning on March 26th, 27th, and 28th. There will be a short meeting after school on March 23rd. There is a sign up sheet outside of Mrs. Kelly's classroom if you are interested in trying out.

Devon Davidson, Josh Peterson & Cameron Wallace you need to bring $25 for your hat by the end of the week.  Please give your money to Mrs. Ludwig in the office.

There are two groups from Ohio that will be in the building on Thursday, March 22nd to look at the 24/7 program.
