Today we will use an early out bell schedule (just like Monday).  Students will eat lunch at normal early out time.  Students will report to their 7th period class for attendance and then at approximately 1:00 p.m. all students will be dismissed to the gym for the teacher talent show and movie.  Students who do not wish to participate in the activities after lunch will be expected to remain in their 7th period class and then go to their 8th period class.  School will dismiss at 2:30 p.m.  If the movie is not over by that time you will be allowed to leave.  All students should plan to be off campus by 2:45 p.m. unless you have practice.  If you have questions, please stop at the office and ask.

Today is the last day of the semester.  Grades will be posted after 2:30 p.m. today and report cards will be mailed the first week of the 2nd semester.

The 2nd semester will begin on January 4th with a regular scheduled day (no early out).  Grades 10-12 will meet in the gym at 8 a.m. to start the semester with their quarter assembly.  Grades 7-9 will meet in the gym at 1:00 p.m. for their quarter assembly.
All students are reminded that the NSAA moratorium begins on Friday December 23 and runs through Tuesday December 27.  OPS students cannot workout in any of gyms, weight room, or buildings owned by O'Neill Public Schools.  This applies to all students regardless of being involved in a winter sport. A holiday practice schedule will be posted on the student lounge door.

If you anticipate a change to your 2nd semester schedule, you will want to address that with Mr. Hilker or Mrs. Corkle ASAP.  The deadline to drop and add a class is Friday, January 6th and you must complete the drop/add form complete with all signatures.

The University of South Dakota is putting on an Indoor Track and Field Camp on Sunday, January 8th from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The O’Neill track team will provide transportation to this camp if you would like to go. Please see Coach Mike Peterson for more information, or go to: http://trackandfield.goyotescamps.com/indoor-track-camp.cfm  Preregistration is suggested, but walk ups to the camp will be allowed.
