ANNOUNCEMENTS

Students competing in the Norfolk Scholastic Contest are to have their predestined and parent permission slips turned into the office by Thursday.  Please get them in to Mrs. Price or Mr. Brosz.  Also, please be reminded that the bus on Monday will leave at 6:15 a.m.  Dress nicely and represent our school with class….. We should return to O’Neill around 3:00 p.m.

The O’Neill HS track invite has been rescheduled to Tuesday April 16.  The JH & SH meets will be run on the same day and the start time will be at 9:30 am.  Please note the change of time.  Anyone interested in helping work the meet should see Mr. Hostert for a predestine.  Students that do not have “D”’s or “F”’’S are eligible to help work the meet.  Those not competing or working will be assigned to study hall.  

8th - 11th Grade Girls:  Any 8th-11th grade girl that is considering playing softball in the fall is welcome to attend a Nebraska Husker Softball Game on April 28th in Lincoln with the team.  Please let Coach Grossnicklaus (Mod 3) know today if you are wanting to attend so a ticket can be purchased for you. You can also reach Coach G at 336-1778 or 340-7513 

The results of the STAR competition at State FCCLA includes State Champions and National qualifiers:  Allison Becker, Allison Ludwig, and Emily Morrow.  State gold medalists:  Holly Hesse, Morgan Langan, Maranda Winter, and Haley Schmeichel as well as silver medalist Abby Krysl.  Ariel Lichty was elected  Secretary of the State Financial Fitness Team.  The FCCLA Knowledge bowl team of Holly Hesse, Maranda Winter, Abby Krysl, Ariel Lichty and Marie Sitz finished in First place and Grace Bunner was elected District Vice President of Communications.
Juniors and Seniors going to prom, you MUST sign up your date with Mrs. Gotschall by the end day TODAY if you are planning on going to the dance.  Also, if you are planning to go through the Grand March, please come let Mrs. Gotschall know by the end of the day on Thursday. 

The following students still owe for musical tshirts.  Brooke Buller, Aryn Curry, Arianna Dugan & Morgan Langan.  Please get this taken care of this week.  ALSO if you have any tickets and money please get them returned to Mrs. Ludwig.

The O’Neill High School chapter of the National Honor Society is accepting applications for induction into the organization. To become a member of National Honor Society, four requirements must be attained: scholarship, leadership, character, and service.  In addition, a student must have attained a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have been enrolled in OPS system for at least 3 semesters.  Application forms may be picked up from Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly beginning on Monday, April 8th and are due back to Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly no later than 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.  Students selected for the organization will be announced at the year-end Honor’s Convocation scheduled for Tuesday night, May 7.
