ANNOUNCEMENTS

Any JH student interested in being on the Quiz Bowl team please see Mr. G. Hostert sometime this week. 

The Student Council and the “O” club are sponsoring another Life Serve Blood Drive here at O’Neill High School.  Please see Allison Depko or Mr. Hostert if you are willing to donate.  There will be a representative here from Life Serve on Monday March 5 over lunch and the opportunity to donate blood will be on Tuesday March 6.  Please sign up for a slot this week.

There will be BOYS BASKETBALL check-in Tuesday right after school in Mr. Browns room.  Please have all of your equipment (practice jersey, both game jerseys and shorts, and warm-up tops and bottoms).  Make sure it is washed with the blue game, white game, and warm-ups all on their own hangers.  We will also be doing some end of the year paperwork so bring a pencil or pen.  Thanks.=

On Saturday the O'Neill Speech Team traveled to Hartington for the Mid State Conference Speech Tournament.  The team performed well and placed 5th overall.  Individual results are as follows:

Congratulations to Mr. Lowell Browns class for getting 1st place in the Poster contest for O’Neill DtL!! Congratulations to Mr. McNichols’ 7th period and 5th period for getting 2nd place and 3rd place.  Some honorable mentions are:  Fran and Karen for working hard, as well as all of the other participants in the contest.  To see all the posters that were entered in the contest please go look at the student lounge wall.

All seniors need to have your baby pictures and any other pictures you would like included in the senior video to Mr. Peterson by March 9th.

There will be a track meeting March 5th, at 3:30 pm, for all high school athletes, we will meet in the lecture hall.  Both teams will meet together.

There will be a boys golf meeting on Monday the 27th of February after school in Mr. Hesse’s room ( Room 111).  See Coach Buller if you plan on going out for golf but will not be able to make the meeting on Monday.

Calling all Munchkins!  We are searching for 12-15 additional members of the ensemble cast for The Wizard of Oz.  There will be a recruiting / information meeting on Tuesday afternoon for all who are interested in joining the cast.  The ensemble cast is a very important, and preparation friendly part of the musical and we want you to join us!  For additional information, please talk to Mr. Jaques or a current cast member or check out the informational poster on the music room door.  See you on Tuesday at 3:30!

Any FFA Member (8th grade through 12th grade) interested in attending National FFA Convention in October 2012 held in Indianapolis, Indiana needs to see Ms. Knabe by March 7th. A $75 deposit is due by March 13th.  ALSO - The following people need to pick-up and pay ($11) for their FFA Week t-shirts: Amanda Pischel and Bailee Dougherty.
