ANNOUNCEMENTS

Anyone interested in going out for cross country in grades 8-11 next year, 2015-2016, there will be a meeting May 12th right after school in Mr. Hilker’s room, room 214.

There will be a softball meeting for anyone who is interested in playing fall softball on Friday, May 15th at 3:30 in the Lecture Hall.

Congratulations to the Dinosaurs for winning the JH Boys Track Laugh Olympics.  They came from behind to edge the Salukis by winning the final event of the competition, the 400 meter relay.  Team members include Dennis Herrera, Braxton Stauffer, Brandon Hopson, Kolby Dean, Trinity Mosel, and Chuy Munoz.  Final team standings:  Dinosaurs 45, Salukis 44, Aardvarks 39, Tarantulas 32, Hyenas 31, and Tigers 25

Seniors will check-in their laptops on Tuesday, May 12th (day before seniors last day).  You will need to stop in the library throughout the day to clean and prepare the laptop for check-in.  Final check-in will be in Mrs. Morrow's room prior to the end of the day.  IF YOU HAVE NOT CHECKED-IN YOUR LAPTOPS  BY GRADUATION PRACTICE, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO STAY ON WEDNESDAY AFTER PRACTICE TO COMPLETE THE LAPTOP CHECK-IN.

If anyone is interested in running for Student Council president or vice president, please get an application from Mrs. Troester.  The applications are due by Friday, May 8th with speeches on Friday, May 15th at 8:00 A.M.
 If you are interested in running for Secretary or Treasurer of Student Council, come tell Mrs. Troester and you will be put on the ballot. You don’t have to give a speech. Please let her know by Friday, May 8th.
 The executive officers of the Student Council shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
 QUALIFICATIONS OF OFFICERS:
1.    A student eligible for an executive office on the Student Council must maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point
       average and have no permanent failures from the previous semester.
2.    The President must be a Senior and of good moral character.
3.    The Vice-President must be a Senior OR Junior and of good moral character.
4.    The Secretary and Treasurer may be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and of good moral character.
5.    Cannot be an executive officer in other organizations.
Any student in grades 7-11 that are interested in running for Student Council Class Representative, please sign up in Mrs. Troester’s room know. You will vote for class representatives when you vote for President & Vice President at the end of the school year. Sign up with Mrs. Troester by Friday, May 8th. If you are a class representative, you cannot be an executive officer in other organizations.

Senior Athletes:  If you want to purchase your poster that was hanging in the gym please see Mrs. Ludwig.  The cost is $15.

Students:  The HS Honors Convocation is Tuesday, May 12th at 7:30 pm.  Please check the list outside of Mrs. Ludwig’s to see if you need to be in attendance.  However all students are encouraged and welcome to attend.
