ANNOUNCEMENTS

HS Band: AWESOME JOB last night!!! Alumni Band night was a great success! In all we had 18 alumni representing 8 colleges playing with us!

Seniors please check the sample frolics ballots posted by the guidance office and the student lounge to be sure your name is on the ballot if you think it should be.  You need to be involved in a winter sport or activity to be included. Let Mrs. Mann know if your name is not there and you think it should be. 

FCCLA members participating in STAR PLEASE work on your projects over vacation.  Time is getting short. 


STUDENTS:  Please clean off the top of your lockers, the Janitors will be cleaning over break.  Take home bags, coats, anything that belongs to you.  If it is left it will be given to Good Will.

Please pick up all O'Neill Athletics shirts from Mr. Peterson by Wednesday.  Any remaining shirts not picked up and paid for will be sold.

The Geography Bee has been rescheduled for Monday, January 9th at 1:20 pm in the high school gym.

As per NSAA rule all facilities owned by O’Neill Public Schools will be off limits to students from December 23-27.  Students are not permitted to work out in any facilities owned by OPS and this applies to all students including those not currently out for a sport.  If you have questions please see Mr. Hostert or any head coach. 

The Knights of Columbus annual free throw competition will be held at St. Mary’s high school gym on Saturday January 7 starting at 9 am.  Doors will open at 8:30.  You must be at least 10 years old and not older than 14 as of January 1, 2012.  Forms may be picked up at the Elementary or High School offices.

MUSICAL AUDITIONS - In the best interest of student preparation, musical auditions have been moved to January 5th and 6th after school and before school if needed.  Songs for the auditions will be made available ASAP on the Angel musical group.  ID = OPS_Musical  PASS = Oz.  These included recordings and .pdf versions of the sheet music.  The reading parts will be done cold on audition day.  If you have already signed up on the sheet next to the music room door, those names will be kept for January 5th.  If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to talk to Mr. Jaques.

Students and Staff:  Every day that your class and partner class (if you have one) bring in food for the food drive, could you please designate a student in your class to update the bar chart in the lunch room.  Remember the food fight runs through the 20th.  Thanks teachers for reminding your students about this important project!   So far O'Neill Elementary has donated 700+ items, while the Jr/Sr. have donated about 340 items, at last count.  Food Fight Counting:  Ramen Noodles= 1 item; 4 pkg of Kool Aid = 1 item;  case of pop = 24 items;  package of toilet paper= 1 item

Student Council Members:  T shirts are in.  Please stop in at the Media Center to pick-up your t shirt.

Attention all students!  Auditions for the spring musical, The Wizard of Oz, will take place on Monday starting right after school.  There are singing roles, speaking roles, large roles, and small roles.  Ladies interested in a singing part will be singing Over the Rainbow as part of the audition.  Men interested in a singing part will be singing If I Only Had a Brain as part of the audition.  There will be speaking parts of the auditions for all speaking and singing roles.  If you are interested in auditioning, sign up on Mr. Jaques' door, send him an e-mail, talk to him, or just show up on Monday!  Call-backs will be on Wednesday briefly after school if needed.  If you are interested in a part, but can't make the Monday auditions, speak to Mr. Jaques to schedule an alternate time.  We're flexible and we want you to be part of this amazing production!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Reminder Students and Staff:  We are extending the food drive until Dec. 20th.  At this point many classes have 10 or fewer items collected.  Last year we collected 2500 items for the food pantry.  Currently Mrs. Barrelman's class has the most items donated with 38 items.  Mr. Hostert's and Mrs. Fernau's classes are tied at 2nd with 27 items.  The winning class will earn a pizza party.  SO BRING BRING FOOD ITEMS to your 4th period class!!!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Seniors, there will be a class meeting TODAY in Mrs. Vosler’s room during lunch. We will be discussing class colors/motto & flowers.  Bring your lunch with you.

Juniors, there will be a quick Junior Class Meeting TODAY at 11:15 in the Multi-Purpose Room.  We will vote on a Prom theme and sign up for Prom Committee before dismissing for lunch.  Roll WILL be taken, so attendance is mandatory.

Chef Prepared Meal:  TODAY for $3.95.  The meal is Italian Sausage and Pasta.
