ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Europe Trip meeting at 5: 30 PM TODAY in Mrs. Gotschall's room (212)!  If you are enrolled, please attend, and if you are interested in enrolling, now is the time to enroll before fees will go up next fall!

There will be a wrestling meeting for any 8th – 11th grader after school TODAY in Mr. Corkles Room.

Elections for Student Council officers will be held on Friday, May 14th during 3rd period.  Candidates will address students in grades 8-11 on TODAY at 11:50 a.m. in the Activity Building to present their platforms.  Those registered to run for offices are:  President/Vice President – Jennie Bosn & Austin Ducker and Nathan Wabs & David Akainda;  Secretary – Allison Depko unopposed;  Treasurer – Molly Shane unopposed.

Students interested in being on the Chess team for the 2010-11 school year should sign up outside of Mr. Hostert’s office before May 14th.  We are trying to determine if there is enough interest to offer this next school year.  

Students, you may no longer pay online for your yearbook.  The deadline has passed.  Many of you have not yet purchased your book, so Mrs. Gotschall will extend the deadline to pay for up for 1 WEEK ONLY!  You must bring your payment stub that you received in the mail with the correct amount for your book.  If you are not sure how much you owe, please see Mrs. Gotschall in room 212 ASAP.  NO PAYMENTS will be accepted after Monday of next week.  Hurry so you don't miss out!

Physicals will again be offered for O’Neill JH/SH clinics this summer.  Forms will be available at each clinic.  Any student in grades 6-11 that will be participating in PE or athletics will need a physical for next school year.  You will need to bring a urine sample and please note the following information for each clinic in O’Neill:
Avera Holt County Medical:  Physicals given June 1-August 15.  Cost in $15 and please call the clinic (336-4113) to set up an appointment.
Avera O’Neill Family Practice:  Physicals given on June 17 (5:30 pm to 7:30 pm) free of charge.  Also on July 28 (5:30 pm to 7:30 pm) free of charge.
Elkhorn Valley Medicine:  Physicals given on May 25th (5:00 pm to 7:00 pm) and July 27th (5:00 pm to 7:00 pm).  Cost is $5.

The following students have been named to the NSAA all state spring academic team and should plan to take a picture at 8:10 am on Thursday, May 20:  Sam Gillham, Dylan Aufdenkamp, Bobbi Walters, Alex Hedlund, Beau Schueth.

There are several lost keys that have been turned into the office this year.  Please stop by the office to see if any of them belong to you.

FCCLA members we will clean the road ditches on Monday night after school.  The more people who help the faster it will go.  Ice cream for all helpers.  See. Mrs. Mann with any questions.

To all girls basketball players going out next year, there will be a meeting in the lecture hall on Monday, May 17th, at 3:15 regarding summer camps.

There will be a meeting for all 7-11 boys basketball players on Tuesday, May 18th  the last ten minutes of your lunch period.  7-8 graders  will meet in the lounge and 9-11 will meet in Mr. Brown’s room.  Summer plans will be finalized so please plan to attend if you are considering playing next year.

Any girl in 8th - 11th grade interested in going out for Girls Golf, there will be a meeting on Tuesday, May 18th at 3:30 p.m. in Room 214.

The book club will be meeting during the summer.  There will be a book selection meeting next Tuesday, May 18th during 4B lunch in the library.  At that time we will select titles and finalize meeting times.  We invite any student or staff person who loves to read, loves to discuss what they read, and who enjoys good company and good food to join us.  We are sure to select some delicious reads.

8th graders please pay your class dues to Mrs. Mann or Mrs. Myers before the end of the year!

7thgraders there are only 8 days left for you to pay your class dues! GET IT DONE!!

Freshmen that still owe class dues on the last day of school will have to pay $10 and be the last to check out.

Anyone interested in running high school cross country there will be a  meeting Monday, May 17th, at 3:15 in Mr. Hilker's room.  Come and listen.  Coach Hilker
  
The Washington DC meeting has been moved to Tuesday, May 18th at 7 pm in the HB Library.
