The O’Neill High School Junior Class will be having a baked potato bar during the Ord BB games on Friday, February 12, 2010, as a fundraiser for prom.  They will have baked potatoes with all the toppings, dessert and a drink.  5:00 pm until gone.  (Free Will Donation)  Please come and join us.

ALL students, if you will be gone tomorrow (Friday) for any reason, please come see Mrs. Gotschall TODAY to fill out your yearbook order form, EVEN if you not planning on ordering one.  All you need to do is check NO on the form if that is the case.  Forms will be mailed to the company next week.

Teachers and Students:  The library would like to begin compiling a list of the "Top 100 Reads" for O'Neill high School.  With this list I would like to challenge any student to try to complete the reading over the course of his or her time here at OHS.  At the same time, it could give the same goal to the teachers.  Is anyone interested in undertaking that kind of structured reading goal?  Please send me your suggestions.  Choose books that either fit into the classical literary tradition or that you believe will be books of such value that they will live beyond the present.   I will offer the first 3:  1.  To Kill a Mockingbird; 2. Beloved; 3. The Poisonwood Bible.
Photo Club, T-shirt orders will be mailed tomorrow to Special Ts, please get your money to Mrs. Gotschall TODAY!  Don't forget about doing your self portrait as your challenge for next week's meeting!

“O” club members checking on trip destinations should get their information to Mr. Hostert by Wednesday February 17.  Please be sure to look into possible dates of travel as well.

This is FCCLA Week. Join members in dress-up days:  Today is Ugly Sweater Day; Friday is Nerd Day.

The following still need to pay for and pick up your basketball t-shirts in Mr. Hostert’s office:  Bergan Hesse, Toni Hamik, Shaley Kohl, Dylan Aufenkamp, Kasey Nicolaus, Ashlea Reynoldson, and Derrick Hostert.

STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Teachers: Please release the pep band members at 2:45  & the cheerleaders at 2:35 for the pep rally.

Teachers:  The newest student excuse for leaving class at any time throughout the day seems to be to get a screen cleaner.  I am happy to distribute these as needed but rarely should it be necessary for a student to leave class for these.  They can get them before or after school, over lunch, between classes.  If any of you would like to have a box in your room, let me know.  I have several boxes on hand.  Jeanne
