ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 Seniors, because of the weather cancellations, your head shots and baby ad materials will be collected until the end of the TODAY.  PLEASE make sure they are in so you are not left out of the yearbook. 

FCCLA members we need concession workers for TONIGHT.  See Mrs. Mann ASAP.

The theme for the basketball game tonight with Hartington CC is Blue & White.

The prom committee will meet TODAY over lunch in room 212.  Please dismiss prom committee members at 11:40 to get their lunches.

There will be a meeting of the Student Council Lunch Committee TODAY at noon in the Lecture Hall.  Please pick up your lunch and meet there.  Committee members are:  Douglas Stahlecker, Jamie Goldfuss, Molly Shane, Brooke Buller, Brock Schueth and Jacob Goldfuss.  If you have any input or concerns about the school lunch program, please see one of these council reps before Friday.

There will be an organizational meeting on Thursday, December 17th at 7:00 pm in room 115 for all students interested in participating in National History Day.

All 7th and 8th graders who qualified for the 2nd round of the geography bee  -  the 2nd round will be held in room 115 on Friday, December 11th during 4C.  If you are a choir student and qualified for the 2nd round, please see Mr. Hostert sometime today.

The book fair is up and running.  Please stop by and see what we have to fill your Christmas list.  Stop by Sunday for a little cider or hot chocolate and a cookie before or after the music concert.  Mrs. C

ONE-ACT CAST AND CREW: End of season party at Mrs. Langan's house Sunday, Dec. 13 at 5:00 p.m. Check your email for details and directions.

Thanks to all who donated to the CNCS Food Fight.  The high school collected 2241 items (WOW)…while this did not make our goal of 2500 it is still the 2nd highest amount on record – great job!  The giving was spread more evenly among classes this year.  It’s good to see more student get involved.  Thanks also to all staff members who encouraged students and donated themselves.  The numbers are not in for St. Mary’s yet, so the Food Fight winner will not be announced until they are received.

Congratulations to Mrs. Barelmann’s class for winning the Food Drive competition with 425 items donated.  Special recognition goes to Mrs. Pongratz for 341 items and Mr. Olander/Ms. Knabe, Mr. Mueller, and Mr. McNichols for collecting over 200 items.  Totals are posted at the Guidance Office.

Anyone wanting to change their schedule for 2nd semester must see Mr. Fernau by Wednesday, December 16th.  There will also be a  
new class offered next semester in the Ag Department:  The class is called "Wildlife and Natural Resource"  If interested see Mr. Fernau

Juniors and Seniors: A rep from Joseph's College of Cosmetology and Barbering will be here on Thursday, December 17th at 11:30 a.m.  See  
Mr. Fernau for a pass.
Photography club, we will plan on doing our light painting session next Wed. and our Christmas Lights Safari next Thursday. Please bring your materials with you.  All info. will be posted on the Hot Shots Blog.

Teachers: The Student Council is sponsoring a Staff Appreciation Lunch on Wednesday, December 16th in Mrs. Mann’s room during 4B&C.
