ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the following students on being named to the NSAA academic all state team for the winter activity season.  Please plan to take a picture at 3:00 pm TODAY in the student lounge.  O'Neill Boys Basketball - Tyson Hostert & Jake Young;  Girls Basketball - Allison Becker & Natalie Brodersen:  Speech - Makenzie Petersen.

The following track throwers need to get their shirts picked up and paid for:  Serena Davis, David Arroyo, Vicente Medina & Katt Harner.  See Emily Morrow.

The following track jumpers need to get their shirts picked up and paid for:  Brianna Parks, Randi Pinkerman, Jackson Gutshall & Trevor Dempster.  See Allison Ludwig.

The following students need to get their shirts for musical picked up and paid for.  Sam Eichelberger, Cyrus Miller & Cody Muilenberg.  See Mrs. Ludwig.

Juniors/Seniors:  College Reps coming to OHS this week are Hasting College at 9:00 am TODAY and the U.S. Army at 11:30 am.  See Mr. Fernau for a pass.

The "O" club will be traveling on April 11 to Lincoln for a 1 pm Nebraska Cornhuskers spring football game and then on to Omaha for a Lincoln Stars vs. Omaha Lancers hockey game at 7:05.  The bus will leave at 8 am and return home after the hockey game.  Those interested in attending should sign up and pay a $10 deposit to Mr. N. Hostert by noon Wednesday April 8.

The O’Neill High School chapter of the National Honor Society is accepting applications for induction into the organization. To become a member of National Honor Society, four requirements must be attained: scholarship, leadership, character, and service.  In addition, a student must have attained a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have been enrolled in OPS system for at least 3 semesters.   Application forms may be picked up in the high school office or from Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly beginning on Tuesday, April 7th and are due back to Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly no later than 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 15, 2014.  Students selected for the organization will be announced at the year-end Honor’s Convocation scheduled for Tuesday night, May 12.

Post Prom tickets will be on sale in the MP room on Tuesday April 14 and Friday April 17 from 11:30 to noon both days.  Please see Carrie Hahlbeck if you have questions.

The digital camo track t-shirts are in. Please pick up in Mr. Peterson’s room.

If you would like to help at the O'Neill SH track meet on Thursday April 16 please see Mr. N. Hostert this week.  Meet starts at 10 am and we are in need of volunteers.  If you are in good academic standing (passing all your classes) you are eligible to help. Those students not helping or participating in the meet will be in study halls on April 16.

The O'Neill JH track meet is on Tuesday April 21 and will begin at noon.  We are looking for student volunteers for this meet as well.  We will have a regular school day on April 21 but if you would like to help please see Mr. N.Hostert.
