ANNOUNCEMENTS

There will be a full "O" club meeting TODAY at 11:45 pm.  All members should plan to attend.  

O’Neill Venture, the tomato plant is looking of high school students who want a summer job.  They are open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm everyday.  Pick up an application during their business hours if your interested.

Brandon Stolze, trainer for Avera St. Anthony's hospital, will be offering Sportsmetrics-Injury Prevention and Sports Training workouts this summer.  Interested JH/SH students should see Brandon or plan to attend a meeting on Wednesday May 17 at 3:25 pm.  There is a cost for this program and the calendar is flexible for this 6 week program.  Plan to attend if you are interested getting stronger and preventing injuries.

The O'Neill Police Department is working to organize a MOCK (NOT REAL) active shooter TRAINING EVENT that will take place right here at OHS on August 15th (2 days before we come back to school in the fall).  This training event needs volunteers and they are requesting students and staff participation.  If you would like to participate as an actor/actress in this training event you can pick up am information packet in Mr. Fisher's office this week.  There is a participation form that you must take home and have a parent sign.  These forms are due back by May 15th (this next Monday).  Again, this is a training event and many volunteers are needed.  This event will not interfere with sports practices that will have started that week for fall sports!  

       If anyone is interested in running for Student Council president or vice president, please get an application from Mrs. Troester.  The applications are TODAY with speeches on Friday, May 12th at 8:00 A.M.  
 If you are interested in running for Secretary or Treasurer of Student Council, come tell Mrs. Troester, and you will be put on the ballot. You don’t have to give a speech. Please let her know by TODAY. 
      The executive officers of the Student Council shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
 IF YOU PLAN TO RUN AS AN EXECUTIVE OFFICER, BRING YOUR LUNCH TO MRS. TROESTER’S ROOM ON TODAY FOR AN INFORMATIVE MEETING. 

QUALIFICATIONS OF OFFICERS:
  1.    A student eligible for an executive office on the Student Council must maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point        average and have no permanent failures from the previous semester.
2.    The President must be a Senior and of good moral character.

If one of the closest JH boys track Laugh Olympics in recent memory, Koehler’s Kicking Mules emerged with a 40 to 39 win over Fritz’s Fire-Eaters.  The Men of Meyhem were third with 37 followed by the Galloping Ghosts with 36, the Mega-Force with 34, and the Glacier Pilots with 31.

All 9th -12th  students who are signed up and are planning to attend the Athletic Banquet TONIGHT you are reminded to dress in a manner that is reflective of this event.  No blue jeans please.  Doors will open at 5 pm to the public.  Banquet starts at 6 pm. 

Seniors:  If you wish to sing in the senior class song for graduation please come to the choir room beginning MONDAY the last 15 minutes of 6th period.


There will be a National Honor Society Meeting for members on Tuesday, May 2nd, at 7:30 in the morning in the library to discuss Honors Convocation. If you cannot be there, please see Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Kelly.
