There will be a dance for all 7th, 8th & 9th graders at the 38 Bldg from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, Friday, May 20th. Dance is being sponsored by the B-PG Bullying Prevention Group. There will be door prizes and snacks.

You must job shadow at least once before 8-31-11 to be eligible for a $1,000 scholarship your senior year.

The local clinics will again be offering sport physicals for the 2011-12 school year.  All students entering grades 7-12 in the fall of 2011 that plan to be involved in PE and or a sport will need to have a current physical in order to participate.  All 7-8 students will need a physical for PE class.  The clinics will have our physical forms available.  Please bring a urine sample with you.  Physicals given on other dates you will be charged the full price by the clinics.  Please see Mr. Hostert if you have questions.  Elkhorn Valley Medicine:  May 25 & August 10 from 5-7 pm.  Cost $5

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the boys golf team for finishing first in the Ainsworth invite shooting a 159 in not ideal weather. Blake Bauer shot a 38 for first place. Cody Belzer shot a 39 for 2nd place. Luke Loecker scored a 41 for 3rd place. Dalton Jackson also shot a 41 for 5th place. Nolan Swanson shot a 45. The JV golfers finished 1,2, 3 in the JV tournament. Nate Gotschall shot a 48 for first. Riley Chohon shot a 50 for second and Morgan Sterns shot a 51 for third.

“O” club members traveling to Sioux Falls this weekend should pick up a parent form outside of Mr. Hostert’s office.  Please pay your deposit if you have not done so.  There is also an itinerary posted outside of his office. More “O” club trip information………..We have 40 tickets reserved for Sunday.  As of today 17 of the 34 students who signed up to travel have paid their deposit.  Please check the list outside Mr. Hostert’s office to see if you have paid.  If you still want to travel with the club on Sunday, and  have activity credits, please see Mr. Hostert.  The ticket order will be made final by Friday at 10 am.

Candidates for 2011 Student Council officers will address students to present their platforms at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the gym.  This will last about 15 minutes.  All 8-11 students report to the gym at 8:00 that morning.

8th graders-remember to pay your class dues to Ariel Lichty or Mrs. Myers or Mrs. Mann before the end of the year.  You must do this to check out.

Attention 7th graders! Get your $5 class dues paid for NOW!  You will not check out at the end of the year if you haven't paid these yet.  Pay Mrs. Barelmann, Mrs. Brown or James Walton.

Session 3 Arts & Crafts Students pick up your clay tiles in the library ASAP.

Girls interested in participating in volleyball next fall (grades 8-11) should meet in Coach Appleby's room right after school on Tuesday to go over the summer activities.   If you can't make the meeting, see Mrs. Appleby sometime during the day on Tuesday

The last day to check out books from the library will be Friday, May 13th.

ALL Students, Community members and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend Honors Convocation TONIGHT.  A list of students who will be recognized in some way is posted outside Mrs. Hull’s office.  This is a semi-formal event – dress accordingly.  No jeans or shorts, please.

Track teams meet at the field at 4:00 p.m. today.

Seniors: The Holt County Sheriff’s Office, O’Neill Police Department, Holt County Sound Substance Solutions Coalition and Bright Horizons will be hosting a barbeque for all seniors following graduation practice on Wednesday at the football field. The event will begin at 11:30 and will conclude around 1:30. We would like to encourage all of you to attend.
