ANNOUNCEMENTS

HS Students:  Honors Convocation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 7 pm.  Please check the list outside of Mrs. Ludwig’s office to see if your name is on the list to be recognized.  If your name appears please make every attempt to attend this event. This is a semi-formal event - NO BLUE JEANS!  ALL STUDENTS ARE WELCOME!

As was communicated at the start of the school year, you must have permission to go to your car in the parking lot during the school day.  This expectation includes during your lunch period.  During 1st lunch you need to ask for permission from Mr. Brown or Mr. Simonson and during 2nd lunch you need to ask for permission from Mr. Fisher, Mr. Hilker or Mr. Nick Hostert.  Seniors participating in senior lunch privilege do not need permission during their lunch period.  Again, this is not a new expectation and was addressed at the start of the school year.     

If anyone is interested in running for Student Council President or Vice President, please get an application from Mrs. Troester or Mrs. Ludwig.  The applications are due by Friday, May 4 with speeches on Monday, May 14th at 8:00 A.M.  
If you are interested in running for Secretary, Treasurer, or Class Representative, sign up by Cheryl’s office, and you will be put on the ballot. You don’t have to give a speech. Please do so by Friday, May 4.
 The executive officers of the Student Council shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
 QUALIFICATIONS OF OFFICERS:
     1.    A student eligible for an executive office on the Student Council must maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point average
           and have no permanent failures from the previous semester.
2.    The President must be a Senior and of good moral character.
3.    The Vice-President must be a Senior OR Junior and of good moral character.
4.    The Secretary and Treasurer may be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and of good moral character.
5.    Cannot be the president of another organization and president of student council.

Any student in grades 9-10-11 interested in being part of the HS Marching Band Flag Corps next fall – see Mrs. Brown by this Friday May 4th.

A reminder to all students grades 7-12:  Before you checkout at the end of the semester you need to assure that all fines and fees have been paid.  This includes class dues and library and laptop fines.  You will not be able to complete the checkout form unless fines and dues have been paid.  Also, you will need to checkin your laptop for the summer.  It is expected that you make sure they are cleaned and that you have your laptop, cord and bag ready to checkin.  

Laptop checkin for seniors will be on Tuesday, May 8th during periods 1,2 and 6.

Laptop checkin for grades 7-11 will take place on Wednesday & Thursday on the last week of school.  We will announce a detailed schedule as we near the last week.

Seniors who have not purchased your banners from the gym – this item will be on your checkout sheet: The Cost is $15.00. Sergio Gonzalez, Gloria Turpin, Regina Klabenes, Shayne Campbell, Elias Pablo-Lorenzo, Vicente Medina, Sarah Ethington & Marissa Lichty.
