ANNOUNCEMENTS

10^th , 11^th, and 12^th grade students will have grade-level meetings TODAY in the student lounge with Mr. Fernau and Mr. Brosz:   8:05 a.m. – 12^th grade, 8:30 a.m. – 11^th grade, and 10^th grade at 8:55 a.m.  Students will be released by intercom.  Each meeting will last about 15 minutes.

Respect Groups for the 2011-12 school year will have their first meeting TODAY during eighth period.  Seniors should report to the library and Sophomores and Juniors should report to the multi-purpose room.   Group lists have been posted on the bulletin boards outside of the main office and across from Mrs. Ludwig’s office.  If you are a new student and your name is not on a list, please let Mrs. Braun know.  If you have a new student in your group, please be sure to bring them to the meeting and explain what respect groups are.

FRESHMEN:  We have concessions for the volleyball and football games Thursday and Friday (Sept. 8th and 9th).  Please check the sign up sheets in the 200 hallway to see what time you are scheduled to work.  Let Mrs. Hostert or Mrs.

Students, remember that tomorrow (the 7th) is School Picture Day!  Please use this opportunity to dress your best and remember that you are representing our school pride.  Take a little extra time on your appearance so you are the best version of yourself on picture day.  Picture packets will be distributed in your English Classes today.  You MUST bring your packet with your money back to school tomorrow if you intend to order pictures.  Late orders will not be accepted.  Schedules will be placed in the hallways later today.  If you will be absent for any part of the day, please make sure you will not miss your time.  If it can't be avoided, please go to the photographer to see if she can work you in.  Staff, please also make sure you get your photo taken tomorrow as well.  Thank you!

The football players will be dismissed at 2:50 on Friday for their game in Pierce.  Players, make sure you report to 8th period and you will be dismissed by intercom.  This gives you time to make sure you have everything you will need for the game.  Double check all your pads, game jersey and pants, belt, cleats, and helmet (mouth piece & chin strap).  Teachers, a roster will be sent to you of the players that will need to be dismissed at this time.

Range Judging practice will be Tuesday, Sept. 6th at 7:30pm in the Ag Room. This is required if you are going to judge. See Ms. Knabe ASAP if you are unable to attend this practice.

Sophomores need to pay their class dues. Dues are $20, you can give your dues to Ms. Knabe, Mr. Spangler, or your class treasurer.

FFA Members who want to attend Husker Harvest Days must sign-up in the Ag Room by Friday, Sept. 2nd. $5 gate fee is due to Ms. Knabe by Tuesday, September 6th.

There will be organizational meetings for book club throughout the day tomorrow.  There will be the first gathering at 7:45.  There will also be a gathering during each lunch period.  Mrs. Crumly will have donuts before school and a slice of pizza during lunch.  Come hungry for great reads.

JH & SH athletes should plan to take fall activity pictures on Wednesday August 31.  Studio B photography will take the pictures.  Envelopes were handed out by JH & SH coaches so please see your coach if you did not get one.  Picture buttons will also be offered and this is the only time they will be take for fall activities.  

Anyone who missed the FCCLA meeting last night but would still like to join should see Mrs. Mann.

All “O” club members should stop by to Mr. Hostert’s office to vote on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.  For “O” club officers.  This needs to be completed by 1 pm on Wednesday.  

Range Judging practice will be Tuesday, Sept. 6th at 7:30pm in the Ag Room. This is required if you are going to judge. See Ms. Knabe ASAP if you are unable to attend this practice.
