A huge congratulation to Tim Hansen for making All-State Choir!  You earned it Tim!  And congratulations to Miranda Hoefer for being selected as an All-State Choir alternate!

The Public Library is having “Fine Amnesty” October 14 – November 2.  If you have a book that has not been returned, you may return it free of charge. 

Mock Trial:  We will have a practice trial this Sunday, October 24th @ 2 PM at the Courthouse.  It is imperative that you be there, so we can do a run through of the trial.  Lawyer/Witness Partners:  Schedule an appointment with Mr. Gotschall this week.  Contact Mr. Mohr if you need his contact information.  Lawyers: send cross examination questions/opening/closings to Mr. Gotschall.

Student Council is sponsoring a Hats/Jeans for Wishes to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Students can buy a sticker for $1 to wear their hats on Thursday, October 21st or for $4 you can wear your hat all next week.  Teachers have the option also to buy the stickers for a hat or a $5 sticker to wear jeans that day or $15 for the whole week.  Stickers are available from Shane Miles, Connor Peterson or Mrs. Hull anytime or from council members in the student lounge during lunch.

There is a sign-up sheet for “You Have the Power to Grant a Wish” t-shirts outside Mrs. Hull’s office.  Shirts are $10 and ALL profit from them will be donated to help make wishes come true.  This is a state wide promotion to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Speech Team:  Group practices start TODAY from 4:00-6:00 PM in Mr. Mohr's room.  Come and start working on events!!

For all girls who played softball this past season, there will be a blizzard meeting at Dairy Queen TODAY right after school.  Coach G.

Picture retakes will be at 8:30 AM TOMORROW (Wednesday) for anyone who was absent for picture day, or any one who had MAJOR issues with their photos. ANNOUNCEMENTS

All current 8th grade and freshmen football players will have a meeting TODAY immediately after school in the lecture hall.  This meeting will only take 10 to 15 minutes.

There will be a cheerleading meeting after school today in Mod 4 for all girls who signed up to be basketball cheerleaders. The meeting will be quick! Thanks!

Nebraska Troop Support has the goal of packing 500 Christmas boxes to send to the troops. These boxes will be packed next week, October 18 – 22, at the National Guard Armory. They are looking for shifts of around 8 – 10 volunteers to fill the following time slots - Afternoons 1:30 to 4:00 or evenings 7 to 8:30.  Currently no one is scheduled for the afternoons on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday and Thursday and Friday evening time slots too. @ 336-2274 if you wish to help with these boxes. This could be a great opportunity for some students to become involved in a meaningful volunteer effort!
