NeSA testing schedule for 7th, 8th, and 11th grade:  7th grade will test on April 3rd from 9:00 - 11:00. They will test on April 4th from 12:30 - 2:30.  8th grade will test on April 3rd from 12:00 - 3:00.  On April 4th they will test from 9:00-12:00.  11th grade students will test on April 9th from 9:00 - 11:00 and 1:00-3:00 and again on April 10th from 9:00 -11:00.  7th and 8th grades will only be in school on April 3rd and 4th during their testing times and will have the remainder of that time off from school. 11th grade students will only be in school on April 9th and 10th during those designated times.  On the 9th, students will have two hour lunch and break and may leave campus for lunch.   All students must be in their designated classrooms and ready to begin testing at the times listed.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

“O” club members that have not signed up for the trip need to do so by Thursday at 8:30 am.  A $20 deposit is required and if you have question or concerns please see Mr. Hostert.  The bus will leave at 9 am from OHS on Friday.  There is a list of members who have signed up posted outside Mr. Hostert’s office.

American Legion Baseball Registration Meeting in multi purpose room, TONIGHT at 5:30 pm.  Forms are located by the front office.

The “O” club will be traveling to Omaha on March 29th for an arena football game.  We will plan to depart O’Neill, eat at the mall, play games at a Fun Center, and then watch the Beef take on the Kansas Koyotes at 7 pm.  Members need to sign up and pay a $20 deposit, that will be returned once we leave O’Neill.  Please sign up, in Mr. Hostert’s office, and pay by Wednesday March 27.

Congratulations to Grace Bunner and Amanda Pischel for qualifying for the FCCLA National STAR competition.   They were one of 8 groups from across the nation to qualify in their event.

The Wayne State Industrial Technology Competition was held yesterday.  The following are the results: O’Neill placed 3rd in team standings out of 10.  Dani Barelmann/Toni Hamik – placed 3rd in Bridge Building; Jacob Dickau  - placed 1st in Construction Layout and 3rd in Construction Estimating; Kyle Lorenz – placed 3rd in Computer Aided Drafting; Tyler Hipke – placed 1st   and Charlie Burtwistle placed 3rd  in Mouse Trap Derby; Derek Krieger  - placed 1st in Mouse Traper Pull; Kyle Fowler - placed 1st in Small Engines; Technology Bowl Team consisting of Charlie Burtwistle, Kyle Fowler, Wyatt Bourdovsky & Jacob Dickau placed 2nd  ; Donnie Taylor - placed 1st in Welding; The 2 x 4 Forum Team consisting of Derek Kriger, Jackson Latzel & Tyler Hipke placed 1st.  Great Job!

The 5th Annual FCCLA talent show will be on March 19 at 6:30 in the O’Neill high school gym.  Students in Kindergarten through 12th grade are welcome to showcase their talents as a group, in a pair, or solo and do anything from singing to extreme hula hooping to pet tricks. Prizes will even be awarded to the judges’ favorites. Registration forms can be picked up at the elementary school office or at the high school from Mrs. Mann or the front office. ANNOUNCEMENTS

Attention anyone grades 9 – 11 interested in trying out for the Marching Band’s Flag Corp. There will be a meeting TODAY at 3:30 in the gym.

The wrestling pot luck will be Monday, March 18th at 6:00 pm in the Multipurpose Room.  Families should bring an entrée and either a side dish or dessert and provide their own table service.  Drinks and cups will be provided.

Juniors and Seniors:  There has been very few responses to the Prom survey on Angel, so we are doing the official signup.  You MUST sign-up for the Prom Banquet with Mrs. Gotschall by Tuesday, March 19th.  We have to get official numbers to our banquet committee so they can order what they need.  If you are taking an out of school or underclassman to the banquet, the cost will be $10, and it must be paid at the time of sign-up.  The food choices are Smoked Brisket or Grilled Bacon Wrapped Chicked Breast with a cheese sauce.  Faculty and Staff, you are also welcome to join us.  Please feel free to put a check in Mrs. Gotschall's mail box and a note about what you would like to eat.  Students, you may also sign up for your table when you come sign up and/or pay for your meal.
